Frequently asked questions

Yes. Graewe offers the option of engraving or marking parts with customer-specific identifiers such as serial numbers, batch codes, article numbers or logos. Engraving is performed using CNC machining or laser marking. Please provide details early — ideally with technical drawings or engraving data — to ensure precision and compliance.

We process a wide range of materials including stainless steels, tempered and free-cutting steels, non-ferrous metals and special alloys. All materials comply with DIN EN and material number standards (e.g. 1.4301, 42CrMo4). Selection is based on strength, machinability and application environment.

With automated lines and modular setups, graewe can economically produce both small and large batches — from prototypes to series of several thousand parts — including customized variants.

Inspection certificates according to EN 10204 (2.2, 3.1, 3.2) are available for all components. Special audits with customers or external institutions (e.g. TÜV) can also be arranged. Full digital documentation and traceability are provided.

Graewe manufactures according to customer drawings and meets standard tolerances per DIN ISO 2768 (fine or medium). For critical parts, tolerances down to a few hundredths of a millimeter can be achieved, with documented inspection reports.

Spectral analysis, tensile and hardness testing, and dimensional inspections (tactileand optical) are standard. All processes are fully documented and compliant with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Yes. Upon request, Graewe can process customer-provided materials, especially for special alloys or project-specific requirements. These materials are batch-recorded and fully integrated into our quality assurance process for complete traceability.

For recurring orders, Graewe offers storage and call-off solutions, including framework agreements with scheduled deliveries (just-in-time or just-in-sequence). All materials and finished goods are batch-tracked, safely stored, and delivered flexibly according to demand.
